ETH Green Labs Certification
Laboratory operations at ETH Zurich have a significant impact on the environment. The potential for resource-conserving laboratory operations is being researched and the laboratories are being certified for their sustainability efforts by ETH Green Labs, in line with the ETH Net Zero objective to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
After continued efforts towards more sustainable laboratory practices, Pathogen Ecology Group was awarded a Silver certification from ETH GreenLabs in collaboration with external page LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) in March 2025. We are now working towards their Gold certification.
In January 2024, the Pathogen Ecology Group received Bronze certification from ETH GreenLabs in collaboration with external page LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) and is now working towards their Silver certification.
